In the morning lecture René focussed on how creating true awareness can empower the design process. He showed several projects which he undertook himself and with his students. He underlined the necessity of researching briefs, context and interaction with users; why, how, what and for whom as a guide to achieve relevant design solutions.

After the briefing each group presented their research plans and experiments in a one minute elevator pitch. They received feedback and tips from the team. This way of presenting was a new experience for students. They performed well. Most of the groups already seem to be taken of, some still have to work things through. After this sessions students continued working in their groups and we left to visit Amritsar (Wow!).

We are confident there will be some powerfull work coming up.
