2018 DAY TWO: Questioning first ideas, developing scenarios

We started the second day with two talks. Gé challenged students to come up with really new ideas. He showed some striking innovative cases how design and new technology can create new possibilities. René and Fleur emphasized on the role design can play in social innovation. They showed some pretty impressive examples how designers take up their responsibility to improve daily life and environment and add real social value.

After introducing some practical working methods students were invited to evaluate and question their first ideas and select one per team. We saw some good leads already. Next step is developing three scenarios from this original idea. How can it become a social innovative design for today, tomorrow and future? How can it inspire and challenge the industry to cooperate? Tomorrow morning they will pitch their propositions. Exciting!
